MEGAN STUBBS VERA

 

MEGAN STUBBS VERA is an accomplished non-profit leader and event strategist with over 19 years of experience driving mission-focused impact, high-profile fundraising, and large-scale operations. Her career includes more than a decade in the health and medical non-profit sector, including leadership roles supporting Lupus LA and the PHASE ONE Foundation. Today, Megan directs strategic vision, community engagement, and fundraising initiatives dedicated to advancing groundbreaking Phase I and II clinical cancer research. Throughout her career, she has successfully planned and executed over 200 events—ranging from intimate donor gatherings and celebrity charity tournaments to multi-day events serving tens of thousands. Known for her collaborative leadership and operational precision, Megan excels at translating bold organizational visions into measurable community impact.

Since joining PHASE ONE in 2017, Megan has witnessed an incredible increase in the pace of cancer research and is dedicated to helping these important ideas get the boost they need to reach patients who need them. Like so many, her family has been impacted by cancer, driving her commitment to turning scientific progress into tangible hope and better treatment options for patients everywhere.

She holds a degree from Brigham Young University and resides in Los Angeles with her husband, daughter, and their dog, Canela.
