MIEKE NEUMANN

MIEKE NEUMANN joined the PHASE ONE board in 2009. She co-chaired the 2012 and 2013 annual galas that fund critical trials for cancer research. She also co-chaired the granting committee from 2017-2023. Her overwhelming experience as co-chair resonated with her and she understands the importance of funding as many of these trials as possible. More importantly, the drugs that ended up saving the lives of her mother and sister-in-law started as Phase I trials. Mieke’s enduring commitment to cancer research, clinical trials, and the foundation especially right now as approximately $8 Billion worth of funds to NIH have been frozen, $273 million in cancer research funds, we need to do all we can to help where we can to make sure patients are getting treated and have hope and that we are one step closer to curing cancer.
