A Day of Pickleball and Purpose: FACT for PHASE ONE Raises Over $300K
On Saturday, May 9, 2026, PHASE ONE welcomed supporters to Mulholland Tennis Club for its 5th Annual FACT Pickleball Tournament— a fun-filled day of friendly competition, community, and shared purpose that raised over $300K to support cancer clinical trials.
This year’s event marked the highest fundraising total in FACT history, made possible by the incredible generosity of the PHASE ONE community. Players, spectators, volunteers, donors, and sponsors all played a part in making the day so special.
Guests enjoyed tournament play, delicious food, and plenty of fun on and off the courts. Tacos 1986 and Leora Cafe kept attendees fueled throughout the day, while new activations and returning favorites made this year’s event better than ever.
FACT also featured its biggest raffle yet, with 15 exciting prizes won at the event, along with a silent auction full of exclusive experiences. Sponsors enjoyed a dedicated gifting suite featuring exclusive PHASE ONE merchandise, including hats, hoodies, and gift cards from participating partners.
One of the most memorable moments of the day was the debut of the dunk tank, where PHASE ONE Board Member Mark Freeman got dunked as part of the fun.
“FACT is such a special event because it brings people together for a day that’s both fun and meaningful. It’s incredibly inspiring to see this community show up year after year to support PHASE ONE and help fund clinical trials that can make a real difference for cancer patients.” –Harry Valner, FACT Co-Chair
PHASE ONE extends heartfelt thanks to its FACT Committee, Junior Board, Board of Directors, sponsors, and partners— including beautymark, The Rotenberg Family, Sarah and Neal Moritz, SET Active, and GOAT Payments — for helping make the 5th Annual FACT Pickleball Tournament such a smashing success.
